In this issue of the District Management Journal, we focus specifically on the importance of succession planning and strategic planning. Focusing on long-term objectives and thinking strategically will sound very familiar to members of The District Management Council (DMC), the nation’s premier network of public school leaders. DMC will continue to identify, analyze, and disseminate best practices from within and outside our membership to help our members improve student achievement while improving operational effectiveness and controlling cost.

We hope you find this issue of the Journal not only thought-provoking, but practical and actionable. We are always interested in your comments about our publication and encourage you to contact us.
